SCULPTRA CLINICS OF THE MONTH
Sculptra is proud to be associated with the following clinics:
JAN - Dr Richard Sibthorpe
Dr Richard Sibthorpe is a cosmetic doctor specializing in non-surgical anti-ageing treatments at ‘The Smart Clinics’ in South Kensington.
Dr Sibthorpe takes a holistic approach with every patient providing a tailor-made treatment plan from a wide range of the most advanced non-surgical techniques.
A UK trainer and advisor for Sculptra for the past ten years, Dr Sibthorpe believes Sculptra gives a natural result in volumising the face and improving skin texture. He says, “Sculptra is a filler with a difference. It restores volume by stimulating collagen production (neocollagenesis) and in doing so creates a ‘LIFT EFFECT’. It is also known as the ‘Liquid facelift’ and gives a long-lasting result. It is used in other areas such as the hands and décolletage.’
Dr Sibthorpe has been featured in ‘The Tatler Beauty and Cosmetic guide’ for three consecutive years.

‘I was considering having fillers but when Dr Sibthorpe explained how Sculptra gives a more natural look over time, I knew it was the treatment for me. Unlike fillers which I have had in the past, Sculptra adds volume and lift which is what I was looking for. After two treatments, I noticed my skin feels a lot softer, firmer with a youthful plumpness. I am looking forward to my third and final treatment.'
AUGUST TO SEPTEMBER – WRINKLEFREEZONE
Kath Cumberland is a registered nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber who has been a Medical Aesthetics Practitioner for over 20 years, fully trained on the latest up to date techniques using dermal fillers and muscle relaxing injections.
Her interest in Medical Aesthetics started many years ago when she first started having collagen injections herself. She says that she works with Sculptra because she knows it will achieve the results her patients are looking for:
“It is natural looking and longer lasting, which is something patients think about in this climate. The ability to add volume, define, give definition in a natural soft way is amazing!
With its slow, gradual improvement it gives the patient a feeling of wellbeing; friends assume they have had 'a good night’s sleep' or had a new hair do or changed their makeup! Keep them guessing!”
She feels that returning patients are the key to a successful clinic and after their initial course with Sculptra her patients come back for a maintenance programme.
“With Sculptra, I know I am giving my patients, a safe, effective, and good value treatment. With the economy as it is patients are looking for a treatment that will give them a longer lasting result.
I have every confidence in Sculptra, as do my patients who are often amazed at the difference!”

JUNE – clinicbe
Building on her own reputation for excellence in Doctor-led skincare, Dr Barbara Kubicka established the clinicbe® brand as a unique concept in integrated skin and healthcare. The clinic brings patients the latest skincare technology and techniques using expert and experienced doctors who are highly skilled in the latest anti-ageing and skin treatments.
Dr Kubicka believes it is important to understand how ones’ body works and adjust to the process of aging and one of the products she uses, among others, to combat ageing is Sculptra. She uses it because it is a “great complimentary treatment to other procedures I offer in my clinic. It is a natural and global approach to volume loss and aging face.”
She finds the use of Sculptra useful for people with remarkable facial soft tissue and volume loss for those who don’t like the injection of hyaluronic acid and want to stimulate their collagen growth. It is also good for those for who long term price is important.
“I see Sculptra as a process not a procedure because it gives slow and gradual results and not just a quick fix and addresses the cause rather than just fixing the symptoms. I am very excited about using Sculptra, especially now with the slightly different constitution and cannula.”
MAY – June Hume
June Hume has been a qualified RGN for over 35 years and has worked in all aspects of the medical industry. Her latter years in the NHS were as a Nurse practitioner in General Practice.
June first entered the Aesthetic industry about 12 years ago working for other major cosmetic companies within clinics across the country. She now has a very large client base and works solely as an Aesthetic Nurse practitioner and Independent Nurse prescriber within clinics across the North East.
June has been using Sculptra as part of the treatments she offers for over six years since Sculptra first became available for use by nurses within the aesthetic industry.
She believes that the injection technique along with the slight changes to reconstitution over the years has made the procedure much easier and this, along with the fact that it can now be offered via cannula, gives Sculptra a valuable place in her portfolio of procedures.
“I will be continuing to offer Sculptra to my clients as I firmly believe that whilst many of the Dermal fillers have vastly improved over recent years, nothing quite does as effectively what Sculptra can do in terms of full face volumisation and restoration”
April - Hunter House Clinic
Elizabeth Hunter (Independent Nurse Prescriber RGN Bsc Hons) started Hunter Beauty Limited in July 2006 and since then has gone on to run clinics across Suffolk culminating in opening her own purpose-built clinic in Martlesham Heath in 2013. As Aesthetic Medical Director, Elizabeth’s passion is to make people look and feel fantastic and her clinic aims to provide the finest treatments, including Sculptra, and outstanding standards of client care.
Elizabeth says “I started using Sculptra in 2006 and it is the best decision I ever made. I feel that Sculptra is the most effective deep tissue rejuvenation product on the market today. If my clients are looking for youthful skin and a natural result, Sculptra is the product that I would choose.
I have used Sculptra continually since 2006 and I have had clients returning year after year completely satisfied and thrilled with the long term effects.
If you are a medical practitioner offering non-surgical cosmetic procedures and you do not offer Sculptra in your clinic, then you are not offering your clients a full skin rejuvenation menu in my opinion. “
